On Sept. 6th, legendary K-pop idols Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu (XIA) revealed that they will reunite as a duo for their 20th debut anniversary!

On this day, the two icons launched their official social media accounts under the name JX, which is the amalgamation of the initials of their stage names, Jaejoong and XIA.

In a teaser video and silhouette poster uploaded on their SNS, the duo revealed more details about their upcoming joint concert, "JX 2024 CONCERT - IDENTITY - in Seoul." The event will be held for three days, from Nov. 8th to 10th, at KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The concert's tagline also garnered attention, as it reads: "Despite undergoing various changes, our true identity remains firm." This hinted at the adversities that they underwent for two decades.

Jaejoong and Junsu debuted as members of the legendary K-pop group TVXQ in 2004. But after a lawsuit against SM Entertainment in 2010, they left the team and started anew as JYJ alongside Yoochun under C-JeS.

While they already established their career as a trio, especially in Japan and Korea, Yoochun unfortunately retired from the K-pop scene in 2019 due to his drug-related controversy.

Since then, Jaejoong and Junsu have continued to promote as a duo. In 2021, Xia also left their label to launch his agency, Palmtree Island.

In 2023, Jaejoong also left C-JeS to establish his label, iNKODE Entertainment.

Although both decided to focus on their solo careers after parting ways as JYJ, their friendship remained strong and special. Through JX's performance, they will confirm the musical influence they have accumulated over the years that cannot be seen anywhere else.
